You’re Talking – We’re Listening

We’re less than a week old with our new YoWinner Contest Community and we’re receiving great feedback from you, our members.
We wanted to let you know we’re listening and adjusting the site based on the great comments you’re providing us.
Here’s a couple that we implemented before the weekend:
1) Adding the contest “entry type” to the contest listing page
2) Adding a number beside the comments on the contest listing page
We have more updates launching today and over the next few days. Keep your feedback rolling in and you’ll continue to gain YoWinner Points (100 points (at administrators judgement)).
Don’t forget that we’re running our launch contest until April 28th, 2009 and for every 1000 YoWinner points you earn, you get 1 entry into the contest. You can earn points by:
Join YoWinner = 1,000 points
Add a contest = 500 points
Add a game = 250 points
Refer a friend registers for YoWinner = 750 points
Recommend a favourite contest = 250 points
Recommend a favourite game = 250 points
Click to contest website = 50 points
Click to game website = 50 points
Beta Testing Feedback (at administrators judgement) = 100 points

Just wanted to comment on the contest site- it is a good site so far- a few glitches- like when u read a contest and hit the back button you are returned to the first page instead of the last one u were on. Be nice if the page numbers at the bottom highlighted to let you know where u are and more posts per page would make it easier- especially as more people join and add dozens of contests a day. Otherwise I like the layout

I don’t know if this is possible, but it would be so wonderful to have a little button that you can click beside a contest to note if you’ve entered it already – just a yes/no type thing, visible in list view, so when you are viewing the list of all contests you can easily see/mark which you’ve done, where you stopped the last time, etc.
I can use favourites/bookmarks for tracking, but having one simple little, easily accessible & visible button would be just perfect, and set the site way above the others.
But again, I have no idea what is possible.

I agree with Carla. It would be nice to see when the last time you entered a contest. Say it is daily but it has not been 24 hours like some contests like you to enter and you enter it to early than you can lose a chance at the contest because it was to be every 24 hours. I hope i explained myself properly. Monthy and so on.

Thanks for continuing with the great suggestions. We are continuing work on the site based on the feedback we are receiving. We plan a rolling out the next site update by mid-May.

Site Looks Great,,Have been entering contests since 2003 winnings totaling more the $20,000 and it is always great to find another site with great contest listings,,,Thanks

Good Morning,
I have been visiting the site for only a few weeks, but it is certainly the best organized contest site that I have visited.
I know you have added an update to highlight the page currently viewed, but I would suggest a great addition would be a ‘->’ (or NEXT) button. I believe it would provide a slight improvement to the navigation.

Love the site, best contest site that I’ve seen so far. Wish I had more time to contest but great to know they are all under one site. Nice that they are listed by date of closure. I’d like to see a star on the contest that are one entry only. Then we wouldn’t have to worry about being disqualified if you send in more than one entry.

For every contest I want to enter that excludes me because I live in Quebec, I add this to their comments: “I do not patrobize advertisers who exclude Quebec”.

Hi Jean…every contest I have posted that has included Quebec has challenged the Quebec govt. to deny you your prizes in their rules from what I have seen. The more Quebecers that do this the better your chances are to not be excluded. It is bizarre to all of us that Quebec is excluded at all. So enter away and keep on fighting I say. That’s what I’d do anyway …And letting those advertisers know is just part of the problem…you need to get the Quebec government to change their rules.
